They seem rather tough. I got it in Orange so I could easily it if I needed to gate check my bag.For as much travel as I do black canvas backpack, I could well be happy if it lasts me a calendar year, thrilled if it very last longer (which I suspect it will). If you want something that particularly resilient and that lasts a lifetime, invest in a very Tumi. If you want a suitcase that costs less than $100 and will make it through a 12 months or so, this is going to do the job.

The price is right, too. I highly recommend this item for anyone wanting to travel with lighter luggage. Pack and go!
